Happy Friday and thanks for visiting me! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring Project Life by Stampin' Up! for Fabulous Friday and I have to say that until I actually used it today I just thought it was a good idea that Stampin' Up! partnered with the originator of this memory keeping system, Becky Higgins. Well, no more... I now KNOW it is a GREAT idea!! I can't even tell you how quickly these pages came together... it took longer to figure out how to photograph them for my blog than it did to complete the two. Yes, I completed BOTH pages in about 10 minutes!!! Can you see me wooo-hooo'ing and dancing here?!?!? Now, I did have my photographs organized in a binder by date so it was easy to flip through and choose the ones I wanted. But guess what? Hardly ANY cropping as you can see below. I am still a traditional scrapbooker and love putting those pages together, but from now on I will be saving those for my very best photos and capture our every day memories with this format. The beauty of it is I can put both styles of 12" x 12" pages in the SAME album!

Can you believe this picture? That is all I had to cut of my photos!! Nothing else was cut to prepare these pages - I used the Happiness Is card collection and accessory pack for my pages along with the 12" x 12" variety pack of pocket photo pages. The pockets on these pages are sized at 4" x 6" (standard photo size) and the smaller ones are 3" x 4" so very easy to crop. On Amanda's page I did also add some stamping using the Point & Click stamp set. I am beginning to think that I might just be able to get my kids' photographs into books before they become parents themselves!!!

Here is a close-up of Amanda's page. I used the portrait pocket page for hers.

And here is a close-up of the two cards from the Happiness Is card collection that I pulled. These are great - they come in 3 different sizes and have a design on both the front AND the back, so lots of options. Plus, each card in the smaller size comes in both landscape and portrait options. That cork "A" is a sticker from the accessory pack and I stamped the heart arrows across the bottom using blackberry bliss ink and an image from the Point & Click stamp set. And I quickly jotted down some thoughts using the Project Life journaling pens. As much as I hate my handwriting, I've heard that it is good to journal in your own writing so there you go.

Here is a shot of Kelsey's page featuring the landscape pockets.

And here is a close-up of her journaling and embellishments. If you are one to do lots of journaling you can even purchase a pack of 4" x 3" grid cards and slip those into the smaller pockets but I prefer to have more photographs on my pages (which probably goes back to the fact that I hate my handwriting!).
