I apologize for the delay in getting this post published, but Typepad has had some serious issues this past week!
Hello and Happy Sunday Wednesday! I apologize for the delay in getting this post published. We shared Halloween treats over on the Sisters in Stamping blog over the weekend. For today's post I created little treat bags for the kids across the street and wrapped chocolate bars with DSP.
If you would like to purchase any of the products used with today's project, please click the list above to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code DJTZ9EEH with your online order at checkout through November 30th).
Here are close-up images of the embellishments that I added to my small treat bags that I picked up at the dollar store. The googly eyes are a retired item from a few years ago - they're so cute!
For my candy bar wrappers, I took a piece of 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" pumpkin pie card stock, spritzed it lightly with water, then used a bone folder to make it more flexible. I folded it around the candy bar, then left it to dry. Once dry, I used Tear and Tape adhesive to close it around the candy bar, then embellished the top with DSP and a punch (see below).
Here are my two embellished candy bars. Didn't they turn out cute? I love using the Stampin' Blends to color the ghosts on the DSP and also for the witches hats.
So which treat bag and candy bar are your favorites? For even more Halloween treat ideas, please be sure to check out the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what Karla and Rachel created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
