Hello and Happy Friday! I shared some cards in my Sunday Fun Day post last weekend (see that post here) for the Sisters in Stamping blog where we were showcasing the Ladybug Builder punch. I created the three cards above and promised to share details about the cocktail glass birthday card this week. Please read on for the details...
For my card today I used the Ladybug builder punch, coordinating Hello Ladybug stamp set, Biggest Wish stamp set and the Taco Fiesta stamp set. My color palette includes Blueberry Bushel, Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party along with basic black and basic white. To place an online order or check out the products available from the 2023-2024 Annual catalog, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code CV2EH9EV* with your online order at checkout through July 30th).
Through July 31st, you'll qualify for a $5 Bonus Days coupon with every $50 in merchandise ordered, which are redeemable in August! Read more about that below in the Promotions section.
How cute is this cocktail glass?!?!?! I usually don't see things outside of the box, but when I looked at this ladybug punch my mind immediately went to a margarita cocktail glass! I cut out the ladybug's body using Parakeet Party card stock, trimmed it and added the stem with a thin strip of scrap card stock. Voila, a cocktail glass! See below for the cutting instructions.
I cut the antennae off from the ladybug's head using paper snips and then cut straight across the middle to form the glass bowl. I trimmed off a slim piece from the bottom of the ladybug body to be the base of the glass and added a super thin strip of card stock for the stem of the glass, gluing it all from behind. Easy-peasey! I then stamped the citrus wedge image using Parakeet Party ink on Parakeet Party card stock, cut it out and then cut a slit so I could slide it over the glass rim. Cute, right?! The Taco Fiesta stamp set was perfect for this card!
For the inside of the card, I stamped the birthday sentiment with Blueberry Bushel ink and stamped the tortilla chips with Daffodil Delight ink. The avocados and guacamole bowl were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and all were colored with stampin' blends markers (Daffodil Delight, Parakeet Party, Pecan Pie and Smoky Slate).
And here is one last view of this card. I hope I have inspired you with my card trio using the Ladybug Builder punch. Happy stamping!!
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
