Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing projects created using the Sailing Home stamp set. I decided to make a card set once again using the Harvest Meadow DSP and featuring a color combo of Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight and Basic White.
When I looked at this stamp set I knew I wanted to use Misty Moonlight since it reminds me of the blue ocean. I remembered that Misty Moonlight is included in the Harvest Meadow DSP and that I had used the crumb cake pattern last week for the monochromatic card. I thought it would work great with this stamp set. In addition, I also used the Stitched So Sweetly dies, Checks and Dots embossing folders and twine from the Flowers for Every Occasion ribbon pack. To purchase the items used with today's project - please hop over to my Stampin' Up! store or click on any of the images above.
This first card is a thank you card and features the large sail boat image which fit perfectly in the largest label die from the Stitched So Sweetly set. I wanted to add some fun texture so used the checkered embossing folder from the Checks and Dots set. I added a simple strip of crumb cake card stock stamped with the Thanks sentiment and notched the ends with my paper snips. I left the inside of the card blank.
My second card features the lighthouse image that I stamped on crumb cake card stock. I added a simple bow tied from the bakers twin included in the Flowers for Every Occasion pack. I tried stamping the Congrats directly on the DSP, but it didn't show up well enough so I stamped it again on a strip of basic white card stock, notched the end and added it to the DSP. A simple card, but I really like how it turned out!
