* I hope you have been enjoying my tutorials! I have sadly reached my quota for emails on my mailchimp account until December 16th, so starting with this Day 10 tutorial I will only be sending these once a week. If you would like a specific one in the meantime and are a current subscriber, please reach out via email and I am happy to send it to you directly. Thanks!
Hello and Happy day 10 of my Countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing a fun ornament gift card holder - it will look pretty hanging in your tree and then inside is a gift card! You can hide this gift in plain sight right on your tree!
I love using dies to make easy pocket gift card holders like this one. Since every cut out is uniform, they will always line up perfectly. And I must say I am LOVING this Snowflake Splendor DSP. This pattern is really pretty and I like the pacific point card stock with it.
After making my QE Christmas card yesterday (see if here), I had a pine tree punch piece left over. No need to waste it, I used it on this gift card holder. It looks so pretty against the beautiful DSP.
This is intended to be an ornament, but certainly is sized to easily fit in an envelope if you prefer to mail it or gift it that way. The braided linen trim is not only the means to hang the ornament on your tree, but it also holds the card together. Here you can see the little pocket that will hold the gift card as well as a note for the recipient.
Here is a better view of the card holder opened up, so you can see the pocket in full.
Here is one last view of my ornament gift card holder. Be on the lookout for an email with the link to the Project Sheet if you're a subscriber. If not, be sure to sign up in the sidebar of this blog!
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!
