  Hello and Happy day 10 of my Countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing a fun ornament gift card holder - it will look pretty hanging in your tree and then inside is a gift card! You can hide this gift in plain sight right on your tree!

 

  I love using dies to make easy pocket gift card holders like this one. Since every cut out is uniform, they will always line up perfectly. And I must say I am LOVING this Snowflake Splendor DSP. This pattern is really pretty and I like the pacific point card stock with it.

 

  After making my QE Christmas card yesterday (see if here), I had a pine tree punch piece left over. No need to waste it, I used it on this gift card holder.  It looks so pretty against the beautiful DSP.

 

 

  This is intended to be an ornament, but certainly is sized to easily fit in an envelope if you prefer to mail it or gift it that way.  The braided linen trim is not only the means to hang the ornament on your tree, but it also holds the card together. Here you can see the little pocket that will hold the gift card as well as a note for the recipient.

Countdown to Christmas - Day 9 QE Pine Tree Christmas Card

 

  Hello and Happy day 9 of my Countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing a Quick & Easy (QE) Christmas card featuring the Pine Tree punch, 'Tis the Season DSP and Perfectly Plaid stamp set. If this card looks familiiar, I CASE'd myself from a few months ago when I shared a Christmas in July card. See that original card here

 

 

  I love QE cards and this one came together super fast! I really have been enjoying using the 'Tis the Season DSP - so  many beautiful patterns in this pack!

 

  Here you can see the little Champagne rhinestone that I added to the top of the tree.  A little bling goes a long way.

 

 

  Since I'll be mailing this card I didn't want to give it too much dimension. Since there is already ribbon and a rhinestone, I didn't pop up the whisper white panel with dimensionals. I still like the way you can see the DSP peeking through the tree "window" and as the mat for the whisper white card stock panel.

 

 

  For the inside of the card I kept it super simple with just a sentiment stamped with real red ink to match the front of the card.  This Perfectly Plaid stamp set has some beautiful images and sentiments.

Countdown to Christmas - Day 8 Plaid Tidings Candy Favor

 

  Hello and Happy day 8 of my Countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing a fun candy favor using the Perfectly Plaid DSP, Plaid Tidings DSP and Pine Tree punch. 

 

  I love making these matchbook candy favors - so easy and cute!  This Plaid Tidings DSP is great, isn't it? 

 

  Here you can see the how the favor closes. Much like a matchbook, the top flap tucks into the bottom to stay shut. 

 

 

  Here is a view of the chocolates that I enclosed in a clear envelope and stuck down using Tear & Tape adhesive. Easy-peasey.

Countdown to Christmas - Day 7 Snowflake Gift Card Holder

 

  Hello and Happy day 7 of my Countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing a Quick & Easy (QE) gift card holder using the Snowflake Splendor DSP. 

 

  I love making this kind of gift card holder - it has two pockets, one to hold the gift card and one for a mini card that has a tab to pull it out from the pocket.

 

  Here you can see the two pockets.  Guess what I used to make this?  It's an envelope folded in half!  Don't you love it when you can use the items in your stamping stash to make a quick and easy project?

Countdown to Christmas - Day 6 Tis the Season QE Christmas Card

 

  Hello and Happy day 6 of my Countdown to Christmas! Today I am sharing a Quick & Easy (QE) Christmas card with DSP as the star of the card.

 

  This card came together so quickly - you can put together so many very easily once you've cut your DSP strips. Just mix and match and stamp a sentiment. Easy-peasey!

  This card showcases the 'Tis the Season DSP and I just love that Merry Christmas image from the Tag Buffet stamp set. Countdown to Christmas - Day 5 Tis the Season Notepad

 

  Hello and Happy day 5 of December! Today I am sharing a Quick & Easy covered notepad featuring the 'Tis the Season DSP and Plaid Tidings stamp set. These are easy to make and you can get two from a single sheet of card stock.  Best of all, these would be great to keep in your purse or to gift to a friend or co-worker.

 

 

  This was fun to make once I was able to figure out the dimensions and score lines.  This pattern from the 'Tis The Season DSP is one I haven't used yet and I really like it.

 

 

  Here's what the notepad cover looks like once you untie the ribbon that holds it shut.  I used the plaid Christmas tree image from the stamp set which I cut out using the coordinating Pine Tree punch. That was added to cherry cobbler card stock cut with the Everyday Label punch. Easy-peasey!

 

 

   This is what the post-it pad looks like when you open up the cover. I used a lined 3" x 3" post-it pad, but an unlined one certainly works. This is something I am going to keep in my purse as I finish up my shopping for Christmas.

Countdown to Christmas - Day 3 Banner Year Gift Tags

 

  Hello and Happy day 3 of December! Today I am sharing some Quick & Easy gift tags featuring the Banner Year bundle, which includes the stamp set and a cool pick-a-punch, along with the 'Tis the Season DSP pack and a few other punches.  These are fun to make and you can use any DSP that you have with the colors that match your wrapping paper or gift bag.  In addition, if you don't punch the hole in the top these little tags are great embellishments to add to a mini card, regular card or even for a scrapbook page.

 

  These were fun to make. I was able to use scraps of DSP from the 'Tis the Season DSP pack, one color of ink (cherry cobbler) and different punches to make lots of different tags. 

 

 

  Here's what the tag looks like hanging from a gift bag. I love putting gifts in plain gift bags like this white one and dressing them up with a hand-stamped tag and some festive tissue paper.

Countdown to Christmas - Day 2 Gnome Quick & Easy Christmas Card

 

  Hello and Happy day 2 of December! Today I am sharing a Quick & Easy (QE) Christmas card that I made featuring the same Gnome image and DSP from yesterday's favor box (see it here).   I used a left over piece of the DSP, after cutting the section I needed for the favor.  This card coordinates beautifully with the favor, but could also be made en masse to send out to family and friends this year.

 

  I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this little gnome image! It's like his arms are spread out to give you a big ole hug.  He really puts a smile on my face.

 

 

  Here's another view of the card - I love how the DSP plays off the whisper white mat and crumb cake card base.  I wanted the gnome cut-out to pop off a colored piece of card stock and after playing around with a few different colors I liked the way it looked best against the crumb cake card stock.  The rest of the card is pretty minimal with just a simple knot of ribbon since I wanted the beauty of the DSP to shine.

 

 

  I had fun using my Stampin' Blends to color this little guy - I made my life easier by coloring two images knowing yesterday that I was going to make a matching card. I had stamped the two a little too close together on my whisper white card stock so couldn't get the punch to work on this second image so decided to cut him out with my paper snips. It really didn't take that long, so you could make several of these at one time.

 

 

  I decided to leave the inside of the card as is with the crumb cake card stock and stamped the sentiment with pacific point ink and the little gnome home with crumb cake ink. I thought the image was cute but too much for me to color on a quick & easy card, am I right?!

Countdown to Christmas - Day 1 Gnome Favor Box

 

  Hello and Happy first day of Decenber! I have decided to challenge myself to create projects every day until Christmas and share them with you here on my blog.  For those of you who are subscribers, I will be sending an email with a link to a project sheet the following day with a product list, dimensions and steps to recreate these quick and easy projects.  If you haven't already done so, please be sure to subscribe by adding your email in the field on the sidebar of my blog so you don't miss any of the emails.  

 

  Let's get started with  my Day 1 project - this is a fun little 2-4-6-8 box that I have been making for many years and features the super-cute Gnome for Christmas stamp set and fun Snowflake Splendor DSP.  How stinkin' cute is this?!?!

 

 

  Here's another view of the favor box - it measures 4" high x 2" wide and can be filled with small goodies.  I used twine to hold the box shut so that the recipient doesn't have to destroy my favor box to get to the contents inside and can even re-use it to gift someone else.

 

 

  I had fun using my Stampin' Blends to color this little guy. He makes me happy just looking at him!  I chose colors that coordinated with the DSP.
