Hello and Happy Sunday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing our favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp sets. I fell in love with the Beautifully Happy set as soon as I saw it in the SAB brochure and I made sure to place a $100 order so I could earn it for FREE! I decided to pair it with the 2021-2023 In Colors to make a quick and easy card set.
This stamp set is great, because not only does it have beautiful line art images which can be colored with stampin' write markers, stampin' blends and/or watercolor pencils, but it also includes solid image distinktive stamps (meaning it looks textured and has variation when stamped) so you can just ink and stamp the color onto the images. I LOVE that for quick and easy cards! AND, these are photopolymer stamps, so lining them up is a piece of cake! Please read on for more details including dimensions, product list and close-up pictures of individual cards...
Above are images and links to the products that I used for today's project. If you order all the items that I used for today's card ($100.35 merchandise total), you'll earn the Beautifully Happy stamp set for FREE! To find out more about these items or to place an online order, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code AWMYZTC4 with your online order at checkout through January 30th).
Here is how I stamped the inside panel for all six cards. Each was left blank with only a tiny flower stamped in the bottom corner. These were easy to do assembly-line style.
Here is the card featuring the Pale Papaya flowers. The dimensions and paper used for all of these cards are as follows:
- Base card - 11" x 4-1/4" (1 each cut from Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink and 3 cut from Soft Succulent CS)
- Front and inside panels - basic white CS 5-1/4" x 4"
- Evening Evergreen DSP strip - 3-3/4" x 2"
- Mat - 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" (1 each cut from Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink and 3 cut from Soft Succulent CS)
- Stamped panel - basic white CS 4" x 3-1/4"
- Punched oval mat - Evening Evergreen CS
- Punched oval sentiment - basic white CS
All detail stamped images, background dots (stamped off to be more muted) and sentiments were inked with Memento Tuxedo black ink. The solid flower images were inked using Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink ink. The larger leaves were inked using Soft Succulent ink. The tiny buds/leaves were inked using Evening Evergreen ink (stamped off to be lighter). I did use a Pale Papaya stampin' write marker to color in the bee and an Evening Evergreen stampin' write marker to color in the bottom stem.
Here is a view of the card with Polished Pink flowers and base card.
And lastly, here is a photo of the Fresh Freesia card option. Which one is your favorite? For even more Sale-a-Bration ideas and inspiration, be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created this week. Happy stamping and Happy Sale-a-Bration!!
