Hello and Happy Sunday! It is hard to believe that Christmas is just ONE WEEK away!! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing quick & easy Christmas cards. I was inspired by this card idea shared by Connie Stewart on Pinterest (see that pin here). I changed it up a little, adding a few more layers to my card.
Above are images and links to the products that I used for today's project. If you love the Celebrate Everything DSP pack as much as I do, hurry over and place a host-reward eligible order ($150+) while it is still available! Unfortunately, the Handmade Wishes stamp set that I used for these cards is no longer available. To find out more about these items or to place an online order, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code QK2EEZND with your online order at checkout through December 30th).
Here are close-ups of each of the cards I created when cutting the square of DSP in half diagonally. I did each one a little bit differently, as you can see. The stamp set, unfortunately, is no longer available from Stampin' Up! as it has sold out due to demand. You can certainly use a variety of other larger Christmas sentiments/images instead.
Here is a view of the inside of the card. I used a small strip of the DSP to add a fun accent and added a simple sentiment.
Dimensions and instructions:
- Cut base card stock 11" x 4-1/4"
- Score at 5-1/2"
- Add a mat to the card front 5-3/8" x 4-1/8"
- Cut a piece of DSP 4" x 4" and cut on a diagonal
- Use adhesive to attach to panel card stock 5-1/4" x 4"
- Use adhesive to attach a strip of card stock 5" x 1/4" along the edge of the DSP. Cut extra with paper snips
- Stamp sentiment
- Attach panel to mat. Glue to card base. Embellish inside of card (5-1/4" x 4" basic white CS)
This is a great way to use up DSP and make a lot of cards! You can rotate the panel to match the DSP pattern and end up with a landscape or portrait oriented card.
Here is one more example of a card made using the Celebrate Everything host DSP. I hope you give this layout a try! For even more quick and easy card last-minute Christmas card ideas and inspiration, please be sure to check out the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what Karla and Rachel created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
