Hello and Happy Sunday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are giving thanks this week and featuring Thank You cards. I decided to use the Bouquet of Thanks stamp that I recently got and showcase the 2021-2023 In Colors that will be leaving in the spring. These all turned out really pretty, don't you think?
Above are images and links to the products that I used for today's project. To find out more about these items or to place an online order, please click on any image to hop over to my online Stampin' Up! store (don't forget to use Host Code DJTZ9EEH with your online order at checkout through November 30th).
I made all four cards the same, sticking to one color for each card (ink and card stock) plus basic white. I wanted to share photos of the Polished Pink card and matching envelope so you could see how I stamped the inside and the matching envelope (they are all the same, but this one photographed the best). See how I used a partial image of the flowers stamp in the bottom left corner of the envelope? So pretty!
I stamped the flowers image on the Polished Pink card stock panel and again on a scrap piece of basic white card stock. I then carefully cut out the banner from the basic white card stock and glued it on top to make it pop a little bit more. Because both are stamped with the same image, they line up perfectly. I also matted the panel with basic white card stock before adding it to my base card. To further use white on the card, I used a white watercolor pencil and colored all the flower images. I then used a Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush like a watercolor brush to spread out the white and add shimmer to the card. It is very hard to photograph, but I think between the two above you can see what I did. It is very subtle, but makes a huge difference in the finished card!
For the inside of my card, I stamped a partial image of the flowers just like I did for my envelope. I think it adds a lot to the card.
Here is one more view of all four cards. Which is your favorite? For even more giving thanks card ideas and inspiration, please be sure to check out the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what Karla and Rachel created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
