Hello, I wanted to explain why I haven't posted in the last month. Sadly, we lost my Mom back on May 12th. She valiantly fought cancer for 8 years and I miss her terribly. Many of you who are local to the Lynchburg area and have been stamping with me over the last 18 years have had a chance to meet her. She loved making and sending cards to her many friends and family members and I am so grateful that Stampin' Up! brought her so much joy. We also shared a love of sushi and the beach. I am forever grateful that we took one last family trip in 2021 together. I also want to thank everyone who sent a hand-stamped card, those really meant a lot to me and my family!!
And now on to today's project. This week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog is to use our favorite new bundle from the Annual Catalog that debuted last month. I chose to feature the Sweet Songbirds stamp set and coordinating Songbird builder punch. My Mom would have loved this one!
Check out this super-cute stamp set and punch - available at a bundled discount! If you haven't received the new catalog, be sure to check it out online in my Stampin' Up! store. If ordering online, please be sure to use Host Code U2RRWMSE.
Here is a side view of the card. I used three of the new In Colors as well - Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide. So bright and cheery, perfect for summer time. I love that the black and white gingham ribbon from the Holiday catalog carried over as well!
Here is a close-up of the stamped panel. I used the punch for the bird body, both wings and even the beak.
For the inside of the card I added a pop-up to make this card even more fun. I used a strip of basic white card stock cut to4-3/4" x 1" and scored every 1 inches. I glued it shut to form a square, stamped the feet on and then glued on the cut bird image. This was then glued down to the card as seen in the second photo. Super quick and easy!
Here's one more look at my card. For even more new bundle card ideas and inspiration, don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
