Hello and Happy Sunday! Today's theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog is to CASE a card from the Annual Catalog or January-June Spring catalog. I chose a card from the Annual catalog that features a fun new punch. Read on to find out more...
Here is the card I am CASE'ing from the Annual Catalog - it can be found on page 53. Mine is pretty close, but I did change up a couple of things. I really like how it turned out, just like I pictured it in my head. That doesn't always happen!
I used the new Decorative Circle punch from the Annual catalog that I absolutely love! In addition, I used two soon-to-be-retired products from the January-June Spring catalog - Artfully Composed DSP and Fan Baker's Twine (both are on sale through the end of the month!). Click on any of the images above to hop over to shop online or if you haven't received the new catalog, be sure to check it out online in my Stampin' Up! store. If ordering online, please be sure to use Host Code U2RRWMSE. Don't forget - FREE SHIPPING on Tuesday, June 21st with a qualifying $75 order!!
Here is a close-up of the stamped panel. Wondering how I cut out the sentiment strip? Once again, our punches can be used to cut a partial piece of card stock. Once I had my sentiment stamped on the 3/4" strip of card stock, I simply fed it in and lined it up and voila - a fun banner was cut!
I used some left over cut pieces of DSP from another project featuring the Artfully Composed DSP from a while back (see that blog post here). I had some thin strips that I used to embellish the inside of the card. Never throw away any strips of DSP - it is so easy to use in this way!
I cut my three punches from some DSP pieces that I had left over from the blog post mentioned above (see it here) and decided to cut them in a way that I could still use them for another project. Here is one of the three that I had (one was used for my Dad's Father's Day card, but I forgot to photograph it before giving it to him today). I will save this for another day and simply add a fun sentiment and/or image when needed.
Here's one more look at my card. For even more catalog CASE'd card ideas and inspiration, don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what Karla and Rachel created.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
