Sunday Fun Day: Saying goodbye to the Prized Peony and Wild Roses stamp sets

Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are saying goodbye to some favorite stamp sets. For my first card, I used retiring 2020-2022 In Colors Magenta Madness, Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider stampin' blends to color my flower image. The background is Just Jade card stock that I stamped the Wild Roses stamp set onto using Just Jade ink for a beautiful monochromatic designer paper feel. I added ribbon from the retiring Flowers for Every Occasion ribbon combo featuring Just Jade in a gingham check. This color combination definitely gives the card a more whimsical feel, perfect for a birthday, thank you or any occasion card. I left the inside blank so I had more versatility.

For this card I went with a more elegant color combination featuring Flirty Flamingo and Mossy Meadow. I added a tiny bow tied using the gold option in the Simply Elegant Trim set. To make it easier to tie the gold cord, I punched a tiny hole in the diecut and threaded the cord through it to tie. This card would be perfect as a sympathy card, don't you think?
