Check out this fun set of birthday cards I made featuring the Artfully Composed DSP and Timeless Tropical stamp set for the February 2022 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!
This month we are sharing "anything goes" projects, which basically means no themes or product focuses, so I decided to make a set of quick and easy birthday cards since I tend to need these cards the most. The base card colors were pulled right from the DSP: calypso coral, evening evergreen and just jade. All three cards feature a stamped panel cut out from one of the dies from the Tasteful Labels die collection and I stamped the birthday greeting with evening evergreen ink. Easy-peasey! For more information about each card, please read below for additional details.
Here is the first card - I pulled the calypso coral from the flowers in the pattern for my base card and stamped the small flower image from the set on calypso coral card stock using the same ink. I then fussy cut it and added a medium pearl jewel to the center. The inside of the card just has a basic white card stock panel that I stamped with the same flower.
For this card I used just jade card stock for the base and stamped the pineapple image onto basic white card stock. I inked the bottom of the pineapple with a bumblebee marker and then added some shading using a cinnamon cider marker. Lastly, I inked the leaves with a just jade marker. I love that all three colors are in the same 2020-2022 In Colors marker pack. If you love these colors, make sure you order a set before they retire in a few months!
Here is the last card - this one features an evening evergreen base card (although it looks almost black in the photo). I inked the palm tree bases with a cinnamon cider marker that I stamped off before adding to the panel. Next, I inked the palm leaves with just jade ink and stamped onto a piece of scrap basic white card stock. I fussy cut that out with my paper snips then added it to the stamped panel as the palm leaves were too large for the die-cut.
I love how quickly these cards came together and now I have 3 more birthday cards on hand to mail to friends and family. For even more stamping inspiration and ideas using Stampin' Up! products, please be sure to check out the other blogs on the blog hop using the links below.
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!!
