Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing Quick & Easy last-minute gift ideas. Mine is SUPER simple and easy to throw together because I always have the supplies on hand. I love buying the large assortment of hot cocoa packets at the big box store and who doesn't have candy canes and chocolates in their pantry at this time of year? I also LOVE coffee mugs, and it is so fun picking out a few at the after-Christmas clearance sales. These are great to fill with this "snowman soup" (cocoa, candy canes and chocolates) or you could even stuff the mug with warm fuzzy socks, an assortment of teas - really anything - and then add a hand-stamped touch with a fun gift tag.
These are the products I used for my tag, plus a mini hole punch and Evening Evergreen ink.
For my gift tag I used the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set because I love the "merry & bright" sentiment and it happens to fit perfectly in the Label Me Lovely punch. I layered the white card stock with another label punched from real red card stock (which was cut in half) then added to the back. I also layered a banner of crushed curry (to match the belt buckle on Santa's belt) and then for a little more pop of color I added a piece of old olive card stock cut out with the Everyday Label punch. This was tied onto the bag of chocolates with linen thread. I used a medium clear envelope (after cutting off the adhesive flap) and it fit perfectly into my mug.
Here is one more view of my Snowman Soup mug. For even more QE last-minute Christmas gift ideas and inspiration, don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog.
