Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing Thinking of You projects, and to me that usually means someone needs hugs, prayers and love. I decided to make a card set using the Harvest Meadow DSP and the Positive Thoughts stamp set as I love the images and sentiments in this set. I also used a card layout that I saw on Pinterest earlier this week (see it here). I think it is perfect for showcasing beautiful DSP patterns from the same pack that coordinate so well together.
With fall fully upon us here in Central Virginia, I knew I wanted to use the Harvest Meadow DSP pack from the Holiday catalog. The colors are beautiful and I pulled Bumblebee, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight and Soft Succulents for the card stock and ink from the papers. And don't you agree that the Positive Thoughts stamp set is perfect for this theme today? Using the Label Me Lovely punch for the center stamped panel on each card worked out perfectly and there was plenty of room to add texture from a bow tied with linen thread. To purchase the items used with today's project - please hop over to my Stampin' Up! store or click on any of the images above.
This first card features the Soft Succulent and Misty Moonlight patterns. The foliage image from the stamp set was perfect for this card. I stamped the image on the inside panel of the card as well.
This card features the Cajun Craze and Bumblebee patterns and I thought it was perfect for the flower image in the stamp set. I included the butterfly on the inside panel.
Here is a monochromatic Crumb Cake card. The images are inked with Crumb Cake ink and the sentiments were done with Soft Suede ink. I used the feather image for the front of the card and the foliage image for the inside panel.
Here is my last card featuring Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight DSP patterns. I used the flower image on the front panel and the butterfly for the inside (both stamped off before added to the basic white card stock). This card may be my favorite - which one is yours?
