Hi there and welcome to the November 2021 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects with a Thankful/Grateful theme, which is perfect since Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I made a thank you card and matching candy favor with many of my favorite fall colors.

I once again pulled out the Banner Year stamp set, such a great one with tons of images and sentiments perfect for this time of year. Did you catch my project back in September that featured this set? Check it out here. In addition, I used the Buffalo Check stamp set (sorry, I didn't realize this had retired!), along with the Double Oval and Everyday Label punches. The color combo that I used includes Bumblebee, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie. Be sure to click on any of the images above to visit my Stampin' Up! store to purchase.

Here is the card - when I was designing it I envisioned a picnic blanket spread on the ground covered in beautiful fall leaves. The trees are so full of gorgeous colors here in Central Virginia right now, I love to see them when I walk my dog in the neighborhood - reds, oranges and yellows. Which is your favorite?

Since I didn't want to cover up much of the stamped background, I decided to stamp the sentiment and cut it out along with a mat using the Double Oval punch. It was still a bit small, so I decided to add a banner of pumpkin pie card stock. I trimmed it to 1-1/2" wide and fed it through the Everyday Label punch from the top so that I could notch the end of the strip. It was still a little boring, so I spritzed the card stock with water and then crumbled it up. I then used my bone folder to flatten it out and now it kind of has a leathery look. I really like the texture that it adds to the card!

For the inside of the card, I kept it super simple and just stamped the leaf image down one side using all three colors to look like falling leaves. I love how it turned out!

Here is another view of my card, you can really see the texture on the pumpkin pie card stock strip!

I have a bunch of these little glass jars from the yogurt that I like and I hate to throw them away once I have eaten the yummy yogurt. I peel the labels off and run them through the dishwasher - they are perfect for holding a bone folder, my paper snips and Tombow adhesive (upside down so the glue is always at the tip). I thought it would be fun to fill one with chocolates and decorate it as a little favor. Wouldn't this be a cute little addition for each guest at your Thanksgiving table?! I was thinking the scalloped ovals look a little like feathers or leaves. I inked up the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment (it is a single line, so inked each word separately to ad to the bumblebee oval), then glued them together and punched a hole in the top so I could tie them to the jar with linen thread.

Here is a close up of the tag - looks cute, right?! I hope you and your family have a very Happy Thanksgiving!! Be sure to visit each of the participating bloggers on the hop using the links below for even more inspiration.
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!!
