Hello and Happy Halloween! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing Halloween projects. I decided to make a little favor treat bag to take to our neighbors across the street. My dog Bruno will be terrified of the constantly ringing doorbell tonight, so sadly I will not be handing out candy.
I once again used this fun Clever Cats stamp set along with a middle sized rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies set. To purchase the items used with today's project - please hop over to my Stampin' Up! store.
I pulled out my Tuxedo Black Memento pad, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape and Pumpkin Pie ink pads and stamped the smaller images from the stamp set onto white tissue paper to make it more festive. Did you know that you can stamp on tissue paper to personalize it for any occasion? I haven't done this in a while and forgot how messy it can be - be sure to let it dry completely so you don't smudge!
Here is a close-up of the stamped panel that I attached to the front of the gift bag with stampin' dimensionals. I think this kitty cat is the cutest! Remember how I warned you about smudging above? Well, I had some of the gorgeous grape ink on my fingers after inking the tissue paper and smudged my stamped panel when attaching it to the bag. You can see it a little by the cat's tail - I just stamped the sentiment again on a piece of Highland Heather card stock and snipped it to make a banner and hide it. Bet you wouldn't have known if I had not told you, right? Don't ever fret over a smudge, use it as an opportunity to add another layer.
Here is one last look at my little favor bag. I think it turned out super-cute! Don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for even more great Halloween ideas and inspiration!!
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
