Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing cards featuring a fun color combination that Rachel selected for us. Also, we have big news to share...
Our Sisters in Stamping blog turned 12 this month!!! It's hard to believe that this blog idea was born at the Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City a dozen years ago. We have had some designers come and go over the years, but Karla, Rachel and I have been stamping sisters from the very beginning! As part of our celebration we are giving away THREE blog candy prizes. To enter into the drawing to be held and announced on our blog post next Sunday, be sure to visit the blog post from today (09/26/2021) and leave us a comment letting us know what ideas, themes, products and techniques you'd like to see over the coming months. Drawing closes at Midnight ET on Friday, October 1st, so don't forget to visit our post and leave us a comment to enter!!
Our fun color combination for this week's project includes 2 of the 2020-2022 In Colors - Bumblebee and Just Jade - along with Night of Navy. These colors are great together!
These are the fabulous products used with today's card: Positive Thoughts stamp set and coordinating Nature's Thoughts die set, one of the folders included in the Meadow Moments set as well as Linen Thread.
From this angle, you can see the great texture provided to the night of navy card stock from the embossing folder along with the whimsical dotted border along the basic white panel (this is a die included in the Nature's Thoughts set).
And here is how I stamped the inside of my card - the leaf image is 3rd generation, so very light. It didn't photograph very well, sorry! The inside panel is basic white card stock with night of navy ink used with the sentiment and bumblebee ink used with the decorative element. This would make a great pick-me-up card to someone going through a hard time or alternatively as a sympathy card.
Here is one last look at my card. I hope I have inspired you with my color combo card. Don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for even more great card ideas and inspiration and to enter to win Blog Candy!!
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!

I think what I'd like to see is more clean and simple, but effective and not too muc bulk for mailing. Color challenges are also fun since I can't put colors together very well.
