Edited to add: I am thrilled to announce this card was selected as a #220-Stripes Runner Up and earned the Birthday Honours badge!!!
Hello and thanks for visiting! Over the weekend I shared a fun 2-fold moving card for the monthly Stampers Dozen blog hop featuring the Penguin Playmates product suite and promised I would share the card dimensions (see that post here). I was inspired by a card designed by Mary Deatherage (see it here on Pinterest), but changed up the dimensions a little to make it easier on myself to cut and score. You'll find that information at the bottom of this post.
I also recently discovered a fun challenge blog called Seize the Birthday, and in my effort to make more birthday cards thought it would be fun to play along with Challenge #220 which is to include stripes.
So, to kill two birds with one stone I designed a clean and simple (CAS) 2-fold birthday card featuring striped patterns from the You're a Peach DSP and images from the coordinating stamp set Sweet as a Peach.
These photos show how the card opens up - it really comes together pretty easily once you take the time to cut all the pieces. I love how this card design can feature so many beautiful patterns from a single package of DSP (Designer Series Paper). It also helps to figure out which colors to use because the DSP packaging lists all of the colors used. For this card I used Pear Pizzazz card stock for the base card and stamped with Pear Pizzazz, Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral and Early Espresso inks.
Here's a view from above so you can see how the card opens up and is put together... easy-peasey!
Here is one last look at my card. I hope I have inspired you to make one of these 2-fold cards!
Thanks for visiting and happy stamping!
