Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing boxes!! I recently shared a "crate" that I made from card stock to hold 3x3 note cards (see that post here) so went in a little different direction with this project. I just received my preorder from the upcoming Holiday catalog (many of you should be receiving these in the mail this week!!), so I decided to make a little gift box to hold some chocolates and K-cups that is perfect as a Christmas treat.
How cute is this box? I was soooo excited when what I saw in my head turned out exactly like I imagined!!! It took a lot of calculations for me to come up with this final design and I love it! I will be creating a tutorial for this and send it to anyone placing a $25+ order (online or in-person) in September (August orders will get the peach crate tutorial shared in this post).
Here is a view of the inside of the box - there is a divider to hold the K-cups on one side and a bag of chocolates on the other. The whole box came together with just 2 sheets of Cinnamon Cider card stock and a few sheets of the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP. This is a 6" x 6" stack and the patterns are so fun for Christmas projects.
The top flap is held closed by being tucked behind this giant snowflake. I fussy cut it from another piece of the DSP and mounted it on a piece of card stock for more stability. I love the little opal jewel in the center (a carryover item from the January-June catalog).
This photo shows the actual size of the box - not too big, but sized perfectly for holding 2 K-cups and chocolates. Who wouldn't love to receive this gift?!?
Here is one last look at box. I hope I have inspired you to make a favor box this weekend. Don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for even more sympathy card ideas and inspiration.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
