Hello and Happy Sunday! For this week's Sunday Fun Day theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we designed projects featuring the new 2021-2023 In Colors. I couldn't decide on which one I liked best, so decided to create monochromatic cards in a matching set featuring each of the new colors: Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. If you haven't purchased them yet, consider joining my In Color Club (see more information HERE) and budget your purchases over 5 months.
I used the new Wild Roses background stamp for all of my cards and love the way the tone-on-tone turned out using the same ink with the card stock. Since this stamp doesn't have any words, I pulled out the Timeless Tropical stamp set for the sentiment and flower image on some of the cards. The words were cut out using the Label Me Lovely and Tailored Tag punches. If you're interested in ordering any of these products, click the photos above to visit my Stampin' Up! store. Please keep reading below to see photos of the individual cards.
Here is the card featuring the Evening Evergreen. I was afraid the ink and card stock would be too dark to be able to see the gorgeous flower images but I was pleasantly surprised to see how pretty it turned out - what do you think?
And next is the Soft Succulent card. This green is so soft and pretty and I like how this one turned out, too!
Next is the Fresh Freesia - this color is such a pretty light purple, but different from Highland Heather.
This Polished Pink card didn't photograph as well as I had hoped. The color looks darker in my photos than it does in real life... it is a very pretty pink, although I hate to say it reminds me of the liquid stomach ache medicine.
And last up is the Pale Papaya. This color reminds me of the very old Apricot Appeal that was around when I first started with Stampin' Up! It is very pretty!
For the inside of the card I stamped the edge with part of the background stamp and since some didn't turn out as straight as I would have liked, I hid the uneven edge using a thin strip of card stock. Now if I hadn't confessed that to you, would you have known?! There are always ways to hide your stamping mistakes with paper and embellishments!!
Here is one last look at my card set. I hope I have inspired you to make a fun card set using the new In Colors! Don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for even more 2021-2023 In Color ideas and inspiration.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
