Hi there and welcome to the July 2021 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing Sweet Summertime projects and to me nothing screams summer here in the South more than PEACHES! I went to a local peach orchard with my Mom last weekend and we got some really sweet peaches and that is the inspiration for my project this month. Fresh peaches are perfect for peach cobbler, peach tea, peach pie, peach ice cream... I could go on and on. My favorite way to eat a peach is just to eat it as is, especially if they are ripe, juicy and sweet. What is your favorite way to eat peaches?
When I saw that Stampin' Up! introduced an awesome You're a Peach product suite in the Annual catalog (pages 60-61) I knew I had to buy the stamp/dies bundle and coordinating DSP!! You may have seen this Peachy card that I shared back in May for Sunday Fun Day when we featured new catalog favorites. Well, I pulled out my stamps and DSP again and came up with this little mini card set complete with a "wooden crate" to hold them! Did you realize that the DSP is ON SALE for $9.78 this month? Yay!!
I am sad that the wood crate die set retired a while back, so came up with this little box that I made with my Simply Scored Scoring Tool (a tool I featured in last month's blog hop - see that post and project here). Inside there are six mini 3" x 3" cards complete with mini envelopes. Please read on for close-up photos of these cards.
Here is another look at my "wooden crate" - isn't it cute? I added sponged "planks" to the sides of my box and think it looks great.
Aren't these mini cards cute?!?! They're 3" x 3" and the fold is at the top. It's a great way to showcase the beautiful DSP, and with a few punches and the sentiments from the stamp set they came together really quickly. I also have six matching little envelopes inside the crate. I decided to keep those plain. These mini cards would be great tucked into a gift bag or you could punch a hole in the upper corner, thread through some baker's twine and use it as a bag tag. For more versatility, I left the inside of the cards blank.
And here is one last photo of the crate and mini cards. I love how this turned out, exactly like I pictured it in my head. That doesn't always happen, ha ha!! I am in the process of writing up a tutorial that I will have for sale and also to gift to anyone placing a $35+ online order with me during July and August.
I hope you've enjoyed my sweet summertime project using the You're A Peach product suite. For even more summertime inspiration and ideas, be sure to check out the other designer's blog posts using the links below.
