Thanks so much for visiting today and checking out my Sunday Fun Day project for the Sisters in Stamping blog. This week we are sharing Black & White with a pop of color projects. I really loved how my Mom's Mother's Day card turned out last weekend (see that post here), so once again turned to the True Love DSP from the January-June catalog for my cards.
Check out how GORGEOUS these patterns are in the True Love DSP pack!!! I love that you can color the images - it is so easy to have gorgeous flowers to color, cut and add to any project. The non-floral patterns make great backgrounds and I used two different ones with my cards today. I stamped the simple sentiments from the Positive Thoughts stamp set onto panels that I die-cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
Here is the first card I created. I used Daffodil Delight and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends markers to color the flower images here. The sentiments were stamped using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad. I even added a strip of the DSP to the inside of my card along with the sweet sentiment from this stamp set. This is a perfect thinking of you card that can be sent to a friend or even as a sympathy card.
For my second card, I used Melon Mambo and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends markers to color the floral image. As with the first card, the sentiments were inked with Memeto Tuxedo Black ink pads.
So which one is your favorite? I like them both, but think the vibrancy of the Melon Mambo hot pink wins me over just a little more. If you love this DSP, be sure to order a pack or two before it is gone. It retires at the end of next month! Don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog for more card ideas and inspiration with this gorgeous color combination.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
