Hello and happy Sunday!! Happy Valentine's Day - I hope you were showered with love today. This week for Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing heart projects in honor of today being Valentine's Day.
I decided to keep my card super clean and simple, going with a "puppy love" theme. I pulled out my Dog builder punch and paired it with the Heart to Heart stamp set that carried over from last year's January-June Spring catalog.
It is hard to tell, but the color scheme for my card is inspired from my favorite combination of raspberries and dark chocolate - I used early espresso and melon mambo. The Dog builder punch was used to cut the dogs from the early espresso card stock mat (it is hidden under the whisper white panel) and it was so easy to just flip one in the opposite direction to get this mirror image. I punched the mini heart using the same punch from the melon mambo mat beneath that one. The were simply glued onto the whisper white panel after I stamped the sentiment from the Heart to Heart stamp set with melon mambo ink. I thought it needed just a little something more, so tied a sweet bow using the blushing bride twine from the Snail Mail twine combo from the January-June spring catalog.
Here is another view of this card. I really love how it turned out - clean and simple. Don't forget to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what my fellow designers created for more heart project ideas and inspiration.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
