Hello and happy Monday!! I wanted to share a few more of the cards that I created for yesterday's Sunday Fun Day over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. In case you missed that post, find it here.
Today's two cards feature the new Art Gallery stamp set from the January-June Spring catalog. I absolutely love this set - the flower images are gorgeous and so easy to line up for two-step stamping because it is a photopolymer stamp set.
This marbled piece was cut a little smaller. The flower bunch image stamped with night of navy ink worked perfectly for it. I embellished this card simply with a piece of knotted braided linen trim. I really like this trim as it adds great texture. I even purposely frayed the ends for even more texture.
In this view of the card you can see the marbled effect a little better. I love how differently all the pieces turned out, depending on how I dropped my card stock onto the shaving cream. I also swirled the ink around each time, which added to the different marbling on all of them.
For this card, the marbling is lighter with more green than blue and I think it works well with this large floral image. I didn't want to use any other inks, so for the more solid flower image I stamped off the night of navy ink once before stamping onto the card stock. Then I went full strength with the detail image on top. I added a simple knot of whisper white ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season combo pack (my favorite!).
Here is another view of this card. I love how these cards turned out and am excited to share the final two with you tomorrow, so please be sure to check back!
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous day!
