Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you have been enjoying my Countdown to Christmas projects so far this month (find them all here). I am taking a break today to share this Christmas ornament that I designed as my Fabulous Friday project for the Sisters in Stamping blog. It was inspired by a project shared on the blog Positively Splendid by Amy Bell. I will share a Project Sheet tutorial for this tomorrow in my email newsletter for those of you who are subscribers.
Like my Gift Tags project that I shared yesterday, today's ornament features the 'Tis the Season 6" x 6" DSP. I love these papers - there's a great variety in the pack and the patterns all work so well together.
Here is a side view of the ornament - this took a while to make, definitely NOT a quick and easy project, but I LOVE the way it turned out! There are 13 paper cones on the bottom layer and 12 on top. I added two medium daisy punches and a small bloom punch cut from the DSP to embellish the center of the ornament.
To hide the whisper white circle that I glued all of the paper cones to and to have a place to put the ends of the ribbon, I added this sentiment to the back of the ornament. This way, no matter how you looked at it you only see the pretty DSP.
Here is one last view of my ornament on my tree. For even more fabulous Christmas ornament ideas and insiration, please be sure to hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
