Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you have been enjoying my Countdown to Christmas projects so far this month (find them all here). I am taking a break today to share this Quick & Easy gift idea that I designed as my Fabulous Friday project for the Sisters in Stamping blog. This is my version of "homemade" Snowman Soup mix, packaged in a fun way using my stampin' stash.
Have you ever heard of Snowman Soup? It's a fancy name for hot cocoa, made extra special with chocolate, crushed candy canes and mini marshmallows! I pulled out one of my decorative pint size mason jars, and filled it with premade hot cocoa mix, dark chocolate chips, crushed candy canes and mini marshmallows. If you really wanted to make it special you could whip up a homemade batch of cocoa mix. Who wouldn't love to get this gift??
And to add my Stampin' Up! touch, I added my favorite Snowflake Splendor DSP to the lid and topped it with a snowman. The Snowman Builder punch made it super easy - the hard part was gluing the tiny stick arms and carrot nose to the piece. Check out the "coal" eyes and "buttons" - can you guess what I did there? I used a dark smoky slate stampin' blends marker and colored my rhinestone basic jewels. I love that stampin' blends can give you a variety of colors of rhinestones and pearls.
And since there is no stamp with the words "snowman soup", I pulled out my pacific point stampin' write marker and hand-lettered my tag. I used two of the ribbon options from the Flowers for Every Season pack to hang the tag and embellish the mason jar even more with a bow.
Here is one last view of my Snowman Soup quick & easy gift. For even more fabulous Christmas gift ideas and insiration, please be sure to hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
