Hello and Happy Friday! This week we're sharing quick & easy Christmas cards for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I can't even believe that Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is only 5 weeks away.
I decided to use the Tag Buffet stamp set that I recently ordered. This stamp set coordinates with a tag kit, but I thought it would also be fantastic to make a quick & easy Christmas card when paired with the Plaid Tidings DSP pack.
As you can see, I pulled the color palette for my card from the DSP: basic black, cherry cobbler, garden green and shaded spruce. Cutting the strip 4" x 1-1/2" wide means I get 4 pieces plus a 6" x 2" piece left over from a single sheet of 6" x 6" DSP. This also fits perfectly into the Triple Banner punch to notch the end nicely for the banner.
I colored the stocking with my cherry cobbler dark and light Stampin' Blends markers and cut the stocking out and mounted it to my whisper white circle. I then stamped the holly leaves (garden green) and berries (real red) separately on a piece of scrap whisper white card stock and used a blender pen to spread the color lightly. I cut these out and mounted them on the stocking. I'm not sure if you can see it in this photo, but the white parts of the stocking were "colored" using the clear Wink of Stella glimmer brush. It adds just the right amount of glimmer and sparkle to the card, perfect for a Christmas card!
Here is one last view of my card. For even more fabulous quick & easy Christmas card ideas and insiration, please be sure to hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
