Hello and Happy Sunday (yikes, I thought I had published this post on Friday but alas I did not)! This week we're sharing cards celebrating all things Fall for our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. My card features the Banner Year stamp set and Plaid Tidings DSP from the Holiday catalog.
These are some of my favorite products in the Holiday catalog. The Banner Year stamp set works for so many different holidays/occasions and the Plaid Tidings DSP is so versatile because of the many different patterns/color combinations in this pack. I have certainly used these papers for so many projects the last few months.
My card design is a simple layout, focusing on the pretty Plaid Tidings DSP and texture from the Greenery texture folder. I pulled my colors from the DSP: crushed curry, pumpkin pie and basic black.
Do you recognize the punches I used for my stamped panel? The bottom layer is cut from the basic black card stock mat using the Label Me Lovely punch. The stamped panel was cut using the Timeless Label punch, but I was able to extend the size of it by feeding my 1-3/16" strip of whisper white card stock as shown in the photo above. I love how that gives you more versatility with our punches!
In this photo you can see the texture a little better on the pumpkin pie card stock panel. In addition, you can see how I used the Braided Linen Trim to add some additional texture. I did attach the trim and then tied the bow separately and glued it to the piece using Tombow glue (so much easier!). And I kept the stamping super simple - I love solid images for that reason! And with photopolymer stamps it is so easy to line things up on a cut out panel.
Here is one last view of my card. For even more fabulous fall card ideas and insiration, please be sure to hop on over to the Sisters in Stamping blog.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week!
