Hi there and welcome to the September 2020 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing Autumn-themed projects and I decided to make not one, but two cards. I created my own "designer paper" (I figured you might be getting a little tired of the Plaid Tidings DSP) using 5 of the small images from the Banner Year stamp set and a quarter-sheet of very vanilla card stock. I then cut that in half and used the strips for my cards. The color palette that I chose includes Cherry Cobbler, Cinnamon Cider, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Soft Suede.
The Banner Year and Celebration Tidings photopolymer stamp sets are two great sets from the Holiday catalog that are perfect for your autumn-themed projects.
Here is my first card. I used a base of crushed curry card stock and matted the stamped panel with cherry cobbler card stock. I stamped the image with soft suede ink and then colored it in with old olive, cherry cobbler and crushed curry stampin' write markers. I couldn't find my In Color markers, so just used a Blender Pen with the cinnamon cider ink pad for the smaller leaves. The sentiment was inked with that same ink pad. I don't think you can see it, but I added some shimmer and twinkle to the card with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. The card was further embellished with the gorgeous Embroidered Ribbon also from the Holiday catalog.
For my second card, I decided to make a landscape card and used cherry cobbler card stock for the base. I added a strip of old olive card stock across the center and then colored the image with my markers and the blender pen with cinnamon cider ink. The sentiment on this card was inked with cherry cobbler ink since I didn't really have anything in the image to color. The panel was stamped and then cut out with a label die from the Tasteful Labels die set. Can you see the pretty embossed edge around the outside of it?
Here's one last look at this quick & easy card set. For even more Autumn Days ideas and inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the projects on the Hop by using the links below.
