Hello and Happy Friday! This week we're featuring BLING in our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use the super cute Gnome for the Holidays set again along with the fabulous Holiday and Basic Rhinestone jewels for the bling. I thought the little ornaments on her tree hat would be perfect for the Holiday Rhinestones. Not sure if that worked out or if it gives me the heebie-jeebies... what do you think?
Here is a different view of my card. The score line is where the card opens - I had this piece of card stock already in my stash with the score line there so just decided to use it this way. I can't even remember what card I had done that for earlier, but it made for a fun opening on this card. Can you see all the rhinestones?
From these photos with different viewpoints I can think you can better see all the rhinestones that I added to this card. Overkill, maybe? But fun! The first photo shows the coloring that I did using various Stampin' Blends. I admit, it was fun! And then for the little gnomes beard I used my Clear Wink of Stella glimmer brush but I don't think you can really see it in the photos, sadly. For the sentiment, I used my Classic Label punch and then cut two more from the real red card stock mat and offset them behind to make it pop off the stamped panel.
For the inside of the card, I added the other gnome image from the set and sentiment. Left this super simple and didn't spend time coloring it as I think it works without it since the front of the card has so much going on already.
Here you can see a strip of the fun DSP from the 'Tis the Season stack that I recently got in an order. I added a piece of the Braided Linen trim and frayed the ends for added texture.
Here is one last view of my fun and Bling-y gnome Christmas card. For more ideas and inspiration to add bling to your cards, please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what my fellow designers created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
