Hello and Happy Friday! This week for our Fabulous Friday projects we are sharing "cards that move" over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to make an easel card, being inspired by this card shared by Sharon Burkert in the August Stampers Dozen Blog Hop.
This stamp set just cracks me up - I love the goats!! And the sentiments are funny, too. I paired the stamps with my current favorite DSP - Plaid Tidings. Although this DSP is in the Holiday catalog, this pattern hardly screams Christmas. I love it with the Mango Melody and Rich Razzleberry card stock.
Here is a close-up of the card opened up. I popped up the "...but I ate it" sentiment that was cut with the Classic Label punch with dimensionals and that is what holds the easel up.
Here is a close-up of the main stamped panel. I used Rich Razzleberry ink for all of the sentiments on the card and Memento Tuxedo Black in for the image along with Crumb Cake, Petal Pink and Soft Suede Stampin' Blends to color the goat. The ribbon is Terracotta Tile and is part of the Ornate Garden ribbon combo pack.
Here is a view of the inside of the card - I kept it simple with the just the birthday sentiment and the popped up sentiment to hold up the easel. I glued down the sides of the card so that only the middle opens up to reveal the birthday sentiment.
Here is one last view of my easel card. For more "cards that move" ideas and inspiration, please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what my fellow designers created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
