Hello and Happy Friday! You may already know this about me, but I am not a huge fan of coloring. I know that adult coloring books are all the rage right now, but give me a solid image stamp and I am a happy camper. However, I am starting to warm up to the fabulous line of alcohol markers that Stampin' Up! introduced a few years ago called Stampin' Blends. We are featuring this product line in our Fabulous Friday projects that we are sharing over on the Sisters in Stamping blog today. I decided to make a Christmas card with the super cute Gnome for the Holidays stamp set. I didn't go crazy with coloring, but I like how he turned out.
I got in an order of goodies from the Holday catalog and just had to use them, even though I know Christmas is still 4-1/2 months away. How stinkin' cute is this little Gnome?!?! I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a panel of whisper white cut out with the new Celebraion Labels dies. And check out the cool plaid DSP in the background - it is from the Plaid Tidings 6"x 6" DSP stack. I also used some new Embroidered ribbon for added texture.
Here is a close-up of the card. You can't really see it, but in the white stripes of the hat I used my Clear Wink of Stella brush for some glittery fun. The center of the bow at the end of the hat is a tiny rhinestone from the Holiday pack. The Stampin' Blends I used to color the little guy include Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede. The ornament was colored with Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy - not traditional Christmas colors, but I thought they were fun. The card base is shaded spruce card stock and the mat is cherry cobbler - both colors found in the DSP.
Here is one last view of my little Gnome Christmas card. For more Stampin' Blends ideas and inspiration, please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what my fellow designers created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
