Hello and Happy Friday! I am a HUGE fan of Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Stampin' Up! has the best patterns and color palettes in my humble opinion. We are featuring DSP this week in our Fabulous Friday projects that we are sharing over on the Sisters in Stamping blog today. I decided to make a mini birthday card set using the Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes along with the Playful Pets DSP and Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.
How stinking cute is this Playful Pets DSP?!?!? I just love the images in this paper, and am especially fond of the dog images since we have 3 dogs that we've adopted (Mika, Vlad and Bruno), plus a grand-pup (Miso) who is also a rescue. I am a firm believer in the Adopt-don't-Shop philosophy!!
Aren't these pups the cutest?!?! We sure do love them!
Here's a close-up view of the first card. I just LOVE the sas on this dog's face! It just cracks me up, ha ha. I fussy cut the image and popped it up on a whisper white card stock piece that I stamped and cut out using the Label Me Lovely punch. I embellished with a piece of braided linen twine.
How stinkin' cute are these pups?!?! They were also fussy cut from a sheet of the DSP and popped up on each whisper white card stock panel. I stamped the birthday sentiment with the new In color Cinnamon Cider - a color that is in both doggie images. This black and white DSP panel is great for a backdrop, featuring repeating words all about dogs.
Here is my last card - I kept it simple and really wanted to feature the fun pattern of this DSP piece. I fussy cut the dog image and added it to the bottom of the card and tied it up with some braided linen trim for added texture. Recognize the punch used for the sentiment? I used the Classic Label punch for both the whisper white piece and the mat behind it. I had cut out 2 more punched pieces of basic black and cut them in half to mount behind the whisper white card stock. It helped the sentiment to pop off the busy DSP pattern.
Here is one last view of my Playful Pets birthday note card set. For more DSP ideas and inspiration, please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what my fellow designers created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
