Hello and Happy Friday! Today we are featuring birthday card ideas in our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to use DSP again since it helps to make a quick and easy card and added in birthday sentiments from the Itty Bitty Birthdays and Beautiful Friendship stamp sets along with a few punches and ribbon to make this clean and simple card. This DSP really is goregous, don't you think?
This graphic shows you all the beautiful patterns in the Lily Impressions pack of DSP. It is a Sale-a-Bration selection this year. You can choose this DSP for FREE with a qualifying $50 order. How great is that?! Up close it looks like a painting with beautiful brush strokes of color.
From this view you can see that I used a strip of the DSP on the inside of the card, too. I pulled the colors for the card from the DSP: bermuda bay, daffodil delight, lovely lipstick and whisper white. Having a mat of lovely lipstick card stock really makes the flowers in the DSP stand out I think.
For the sentiment, I layered two different punches - lovely lipstick card stock was cut with the Pretty Label punch and is the bottom layer with the Timeless Label cutting out the sentiment that was stamped on whisper white card stock with Bermuda Bay ink. I also added a piece of daffodil delight ruched ribbon for added texture and color.
