Hi there and welcome to the December 2019 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects that glimmer, shimmer and shine. I designed this cute little Christmas favor that holds chocolate kisses, but it is also just the right size to hold a lot of great gifts - earrings, a small ornament and other smaller items. If you haven't seen one before it is called a 2-4-6-8 box and they're super easy to make!
Here is a front view of the favor box. To make one, cut a sheet of card stock in half so that it is 8-1/2" x 5-1/2". Score it on the long side at 2", 4", 6" and 8" leaving a 1/2" strip (this is why the box is called a 2-4-6-8 box!). Next, rotate the card stock a quarter turn and score at 1-1/2". If you are going to emboss the card stock, make sure you really crease the folds with a bone folder prior to doing so. Next, you'll want to notch each of the tabs and cut the tiny 1/2" x 1-1/2" corner off. Glue the side strip to close the box and then glue the bottom flaps shut. I used my retired crop-a-dile to punch holes in the top and fed through this gorgeous silver trimmed ribbon. Check out a few of the other 2-4-6-8 boxes I have created earlier here, here and here.
Here is a close-up of the tree cut out with the Pine Tree punch - so easy to use to cut the silver glimmer paper. I added it to the front of my favor box using stampin' dimensionals. I also cut a 1/2" strip of whisper white card stock and stamped the sentiment from the Dashing Deer using Shaded Spruce ink and then the two small flowers using Poppy Parade ink to match the card stock box. I embellished with a few Rhinestone basic jewels (for even more bling) and then notched the ends with my paper snips. This was also attached to the box using stampin' dimensionals.
Here is a side view of the favor box. For even more glimmer, shimmer and shine project ideas and inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the projects on the Hop by using the links below.

Thank you so much, Lara! I just love these little favor boxes - so easy to make and you get two from a single sheet of card stock. You have to love that!
