Hi there and welcome to the November 2019 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are sharing Home Decor created with our favorite Stampin' Up! products. I decided to make a piece of framed art for my Mom, who is currently battling ovarian cancer for the third time in 5 years. She is a fighter and this sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful stamp set fits her perfectly.
I was inspired and decided to CASE this gorgeous card that was created by Nancy Ferb (see that here) - the colors were perfect since the Ovarian cancer ribbon is teal. I used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana for my project.
Here is a close-up of the ribbon. I cut it using Bermuda Bay cardstock and the Support Ribbon dies with my Big Shot. Once cut, I ran it back through my Big Shot using the Swirls & Curls embossing folder. I popped it up on a piece of daffodil delight cardstock that I cut out with the Starburst punch. The background piece is coastal cabana cardstock run through the Big Shot with the Tufted 3D embossing folder.
This butterfly is what I CASE'd from Nancy's card. I love the way she colored it with Stampin' Blends - I used the Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight markers, both light and dark of each, and blended. I think it really adds to the frame.
Here is another view of my frame. For even more Home Decor ideas and inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the projects on the Hop by using the links below.
