Hello and Happy Friday! Over on the Sisters in Stamping blog Karla asked us to create slider cards for our Fabulous Friday projects today. I will have to admit that I have seen these but never attempted one before. It took me a while to figure it out but following along with this tutorial from Splitcoaststampers really helped (link here). I decided to make a Thinking of You card and used my favorite product suite from the Annual catalog - Magnolia Lane. I just love the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and coordinating DSP Magnolia Lane.
Here is a close-up of the stamped panel. I totally cheated and fussy cut a flower from one of the DSP sheets. I kept this card front very clean and simple, popping up the flower on the stamped stitched oval die cut.
So these cards are fun - you pull on the left side and the right side magically slides out. Whoever first came up with this idea is a GENIUS! I simply stamped the petal pink card stock panels using ink colors from the DSP - petal pink and mossy meadow.
Here is one more look at my slider card fully expanded. For even more slider card ideas and inspiration please hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what my fellow designers created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
