Hello and Happy Friday! Over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing Halloween treats for our Fabulous Friday projects today. It's hard to believe that we are almost at the end of October already - it seems like Summer just ended. I decided to fill a clear envelope with chocolate kisses after cutting off the self-adhesive flap. These are great and so versatile because you can actually use them to mail cards AND use them as treat bags!
I ordered the Birds of a Feather cling stamp set from the Holiday catalog because I thought the images were so cute. I am not a huge fan of coloring, but using the Stampin' Blends made it pretty easy. Isn't this pirate costumed duckling just the cutest?
Here is a close-up view of my tag - I cut out an oval using my Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes framelits. To attach the tag, I just punched a small hole and fed some white baker's twine through and tied it onto the ribbon.
Speaking of ribbon, did you know that you can color white or vanilla ribbon with the Stampin' Blends? I used the silver metallic-edge ribbon because it matched the foil wrappers of the chocolates and colored with my dark pumpkin pie stampin' blend marker. It dried very quickly and soaked through so that both sides were colored at once. Easy-peasey!
Here is one more look at my Halloween treat. For even more spooky and fun favor ideas please hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what my fellow designers created this week.
Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!
