Hi there and welcome to the June 2019 Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are featuring BRAND NEW products from the newly released 2019-2020 Annual Catalog (see below for a link to download it). Earlier I shared some projects using the new Magnolia Lane suite and today I am sharing a new exclusive stamp set just for Hosts called Soft Spring along with the new Stitched Nested Label dies and some of the new In Colors for 2019-2021.
The new catalog launch is always super exciting and this year's catalog is full of awesome new products. If you haven't seen the catalog yet, please click the graphic link above to download it or check out my Stampin' Up! store here.
I love using card sketches and I found the one above by the Paper Players on Pinterest (see that pin here).
The DSP is from the 2019-2021 In Color pack and are Pretty Peacock (base) and Purple Posy (two squares). I paired these with Gorgeous Grape card stock and I think the colors work great together. The Soft Spring stamp set is a two-step stamp set and part of the DistINKtive line that have a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step (notice the leaves in the stamped image).
Here's another view that lets you see the silver thread that I added under the focal image to add a little texture to the card. It plays off the bling of the rhinestones as well as the Wink of Stella that I added to the dragonfly's wings. I used a stamp to color the leaves with Pretty Peacock ink (after stamping off once to give it a lighter color) and then used the Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape stampin' write markers to color the flowers.
Here is a close-up of the dragonfly - I colored the wings with my crushed curry marker and then added the Wink of Stella after that dried. It is very hard to capture in a photograph, but is very shimmery in real life. You can also see the cool stitching that the dies added to the card stock panel borders as well as the silver thread.
On the inside of the card I added a strip of the DSP at the bottom and stamped the wisteria image in the upper corner. This is a two-step stamp - the detail image was inked with Tuxedo black ink and then I overstamped to color in the flowers with gorgeous grape ink and the leaves with pretty peacock (stamped off). Simple, but I like decorating the inside of my cards, too.
Here is one more view of my card - so fun playing with new products!! For even more new product inspiration, be sure to check out the rest of the projects on the Hop by using the links below.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!!
