Hello and Happy Friday! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring the Cling Wrap technique with our cards. If you haven't ever heard of it, here is a link to a tutorial. You have seen quite a few birthday cards from me lately but those are the kind of cards you need all the time, am I right?! And I really wanted to feature the technique so kept the card clean and simple.
The colors that I chose to use are Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point - all colors that go together beautifully and are from the Brights collection. This reminds me of the colors of the ocean - so serene and peaceful. The twine that I chose from the Nature's Twine pack reminded me of nautical rope, too, so it all ties together (no pun intended!).
Here is a close-up of the birthday thinlit - so simple but what an impact this makes!
I kept it super simple on the inside of the card, adding a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set from the Occasions catalog. This leaves plenty of room to write if you want.
Here is one last view of my card. I love this technique and am really happy with how this turned out - it's perfect for a teenager and the color scheme makes it pretty gender-neutral. For even more fabulous Cling Wrap technique card ideas and inspiration, please hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what my fellow designers created this week.
