Hi there and welcome to the December Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! This month we are creating sneak peek projects featuring products from the upcoming Occasions catalog. Does this card look famliar? I CASE'd myself - this card was a Fabulous Friday project when we featured Window Sheets.

We are huge dog lovers in my family so I *had* to have the Happy Tails stamp set and coordinating Dog builder punch as soon as I saw them in the new Occasions catalog!! Speaking of the Occasions catalog, they should be en route via the US Postal Service to my regular stampers - if you don't receive one by the end of the month please let me know so I can mail you one.

Although it may look like a white strip of card stock that the dog is sitting atop, it is actually a strip of window sheet that I attached to the back of the cardfront. The heart is attached on top of the window sheet with a mini glue dot and the dog is popped up with stampin' dimensionals. I stamped the paw print and sentiment on the inside of the card.

Here are my cuties - this is a photo I shared on my Unfrogettable Stamping Instagram account on National Dog Day a while back.

This dog that I created and colored is a combination of my two dogs - the coloring of our Golden Retriever Mika and the markings of our Bassett Hound/Spaniel mutt C.J. I stamped the dog outline on very vanilla card stock with early espresso ink and then overstamped the dots and spots using crumb cake ink. After I cut it out using the coordinating punch I sponged additional crumb cake all over.

I wanted this sentiment to look like a dog tag and used two circle punches to create it. And I added the pineapple punch grosgrain ribbon to mimic a dog collar and add a pop of color to the card.

Here is one more view of my card - I really like this fun doggie card and hope you do, too. Please continue on the blog hop by using the links below for even more great Occasions catalog sneak peek inspiration.
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!!
