Happy Friday and thanks so much for checking in today! This week we are featuring fab-BOO-lous Halloween treats for our Fabulous Friday projects over over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. I decided to make something other than my go-to 2-4-6-8 favor box this time, are you surprised? This came together so quickly - it's a simple favor idea that is perfect for any occasion including baby showers, treats for co-workers, teacher gifts, etc.
The little cello bag that holds the chocolates is actually a clear medium envelope - did you know that these are USPS certified (which means that you can mail a card in them)? How cool is that?!? AND, if you cut off the self-adhesive flap they are the perfect little holder for candy. You can add a topper (like this Easter favor or this S'More Halloween treat) or tie it off like I did today (similar to this Fall thank you gift set or this back-to-school teacher gift). I used some linen thread to tie off the bag once I filled it with some chocolates - super easy!
Here is a close-up view of the little label I created - you can see that I have multiple layers. The image is from the Lots of Labels stamp set that was in last year's Holiday catalog and carried over into the Annual catalog. I stamped it using the new Gorgeous Grape ink pad and then trimmed with my Paper Snips along the border. I cut out the Pumpkin Pie card stock layer using the Everyday Label punch. In between the layers I added a notched strip of old olive card stock and popped it up with stampin' dimensionals. Once I added a few rhinestones for bling I was done and added it to the clear envelope of chocolates with another stampin' dimensional. All of the card stock used was from my scraps - this is a great way to use up your scraps and also create a cute treat!
Here is one more view of my little Halloween treat - these are super easy and perfect for any type of treat or favor you need. For even more fab-BOO-lous Halloween treat ideas please hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what my fellow designers created for your inspiration.
