Happy Friday and thanks so much for checking in today! This week we are featuring glitter in our Fabulous Friday projects over on the Sisters in Stamping blog because who doesn't love a little bling?! I decided to use a technique that I haven't done in quite a while called Glitter Window. The glitter is attached to a piece of clear packing tape that is facing upright in a cutout in your card stock (you can check out a cool tutorial here). I used my hand-dandy Big Shot and the Ovals layering framelits to easily cut out my "window" for the glitter then added some fun texture with the new Tufted Dynamic texture folder.
You can really see the glitter in this close-up of the frame. I stamped the flowers from the Petal Palette stamp set with Memento ink and then colored with my Stampin' Blend markers. I like how the colors are slightly muted. The sentiment was cut out using the classic label punch and I finished off the card with some of the new Polka Dot tulle ribbon.
Here is one more view of my card - I just love the glitter and it is contained (which is an issue for some people). For even more glimmer and shine project ideas please hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to see what my fellow designers created for your inspiration.
* Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend! *
