On Saturday I shared some of the projects that I created for the Stampers Dozen Blog hop featuring the Painted Autumn DSP and promised I would share more on the remaining three projects so here you go...
I challenged myself to use most of the DSP and happily I only ended up with a few very small scraps. I'll highlight the remaining projects below.
This thank you card is very simple - I carefully cut out the center rectangle of DSP using my Stampin' Trimmer (cannot live without this essential tool!) measuring one inch in from all sides. Once matted on the soft sky card stock I just lined the pattern back up and voila - a cool card! The sentiment was stamped and then cut out using the new Everyday Label punch and embellished simply with two rhinestone jewels.
This fun fold card above (similar to my Fabulous Friday Halloween card found here) includes the 2" strip of DSP and a portion of the third 5-1/4" x 4" DSP that I received. I cut the panel out and then found some fun pumpkins to fussy cut and add to the inside of the card. The banner overhang needed some jazzing up so I used one of the thinlits from the Flourishes pack to cut out these two viney-leaves from lemon-lime twist card stock. It adds just the right pop of color. I then carefully stamped the sentiment on a scrap strip of very vanilla card stock and this card was complete.
Finally, I had a small piece of the DSP left and it fit the cat punch perfectly (see below). I used the reverse pattern and thought it would be a cute embellishment for a favor box... I turned to my trusty 2-4-6-8 box which comes together super quickly using my Stampin' Trimmer. I used a piece of my new crumb cake 3/8" classic weave ribbon to hold the box shut - this ribbon is gorgeous and really flexible so tying a bow is easy and it looks so pretty!
After completing these 5 projects, here is all that I was left with... pretty cool, right?!? You can see where I cut the panel for my fun-fold card along with the pumpkins that I added to the inside of that card and cat for the favor box. I must say, I was very pleased with making full use of these DSP pieces that I received from Rachel - I wish that I had taken a before photo of the 4 pieces of DSP that she sent to me.
