I am excited to participate in this month's Stampers Dozen blog hop because we are focusing on a color challenge featuring two of the new In Colors, Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide, along with Very Vanilla. This isn't a color combination that I would have thought of so I appreciate the creative stretch.
I decided to use the Happy Birthday Gorgeous bundle for my card along with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and some pearls. The Happy Birthday thinlit is perfect for a cardfront and the fine tip glue pen makes it easy to apply to your card stock.
I stamped and cut out a flower and foliage from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set using the fresh fig and tranquil tide ink pads and then bled the colors with an aqua painter. Once dry I added some shimmer with the Wink of Stella glitter brush. Not only did I add it to the flower, as seen above, but I also went over the birthday cut-out. It's very difficult to photograph, but you may be able to see it a little.
Not wanting to neglect the inside of my card, I stamped a few flowers and leaves in the lower left corner and my sentiment went right in the middle.
Here's another view of my card. I just love the all the tools that Stampin' Up! offers to make cards like this easy to pull together! If you haven't put these two In Colors together, I suggest you give it a try this weekend!
