Happy Friday!! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are celebrating National Cherries Jubilee day (Sept. 24th) by featuring cherries in our Fabulous Friday projects. I decided to create some cute punch art cherries using Cherry Cobbler card stock (of course!) and was inspired by some super cute cherries that I found on Pinterest (see that pin here) from the Damask Love blog. I kept the card simple so the focus would be on my cherries - the Stylized Birthday single stamp is great! I just love the script font. And for some bling I added a few sequins that I cut from the silver sequin trim. My card club members are going to be making this card along with three other designs this weekend... I hope they like it!
Here is a close-up of the cherries - they were created using the 1" circle punch along with the Fox builder punch and some thick whisper white baker's twine that I colored using a stampin' sponge and garden green ink. The ink used for the stamp is chocolate chip because what goes better with cherries than chocolate?!?! I also added some highlights to my cherries using a chalk marker.
Here's one more view of the card. For even more cherry inspiration please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog to check out what the other designers created this week.
