Happy Friday and thanks for visiting! This week for Fabulous Friday I chose Father's Day cards as our theme over on the Sisters in Stamping blog. It is just a week away and you can never have enough masculine card ideas, am I right? I fell in love with the Guy Greetings stamp set (available in all 3 types - wood mount, clear mount AND photopolymer!) that was in our Occasions catalog last Spring and am thrilled that it made it into the Annual Catalog! Pair that with the Stylish Stripes embossing folder and new Triple Banner punch and you've got a great card to give Dad!
Don't you just love this old-timey car?! I stamped and then cut out the banner above "Dad" to really make it stand out... and I sponged each of the pieces with crumb cake ink to create a vintage feel to match the image. I always like adding texture to my masculine cards and thought this Stylish Stripes folder with the early espresso pieces worked great with this card!
Here is a close-up of the sentiment banner on this card - I love this look and now it is soooo easy to create using the new Triple Banner punch! I cut my strip to 4" x 1" and then notched out both ends and stamped the sentiment in the middle with early espresso ink... easy-peasey! I added some sponging with crumb cake ink around the edges of the very vanilla card stock to age it a bit and then popped it onto the card.
Here's one more look at my card. For even more Father's Day card ideas and inspiration with our Stampin' Up! products, please be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog later this afternoon.
