Fabulous Simply Wonderful Stacked with Love Friend card

 Happy Friday and thanks so much for stopping by today! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we designed projects featuring our favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp set.. mine is the Simply Wonderful stamp set.

 

  I paired this stamp set with the new Stacked with Love designer series paper stack - don't you love the fun colors?!  Although this is a DSP primarily for Valentine's projects I think it works great with this card... after all, don't we love our great friends?!  I know I do!!

  Here's a close-up of my flower embellishment - the layers were cut with the Blossom and Boho Blossoms punches.  I love layering them and adding a rhinestone to the center for some bling.

Quick & Easy Simply Wonderful thank you card

  Woo hooo for Sale-a-Bration!  Three of the exclusive products that you can earn are used on my Quick and Easy card this week...can you guess which ones they are?  I designed this card for a swap that I do whenever a new catalog comes out with some very talented demonstrators from all over the U.S.  I'll be sharing their cards with you in the coming days... but for now, read on about my card.  Thanks so very much!

  I love this clean and simple layout - it showcases the DSP beautifully!  I pulled the colors for my card from the paper, too:  calypso coral, coastal cabana, crushed curry and soft suede.  This designer paper is part of the Best Year Ever product suite which has a coordinating stamp set, accessory pack and DSP (each of which you can earn for FREE with a qualifying $50 purchase).  The crushed curry ribbon on my card is from the accessory pack - I love it, too!  This awesome pack includes 3 spools of ribbon (5 yards each!) and cute buttons in calypso coral, crushed curry and coastal cabana.  The "Thanks..." sentiment and flower are actually images from the Simply Wonderful stamp set - this set contains images that coordinate beautifully with so many punches (and you know how much I hate to cut things out!) so it was first on my list!

Happy New Year!

  It's been a while since I've posted and I have been spending that time enjoying the Holidays with my family - I hope you were able to spend quality time with your families as well!!  Given what has been going on with my Mom's health I have made a resolution for 2015 to be the year I find BALANCE in my life - can you relate?  One of the things I want to do more of this year is crock pot cooking... having a hot meal to come home to after a full day of working is something that I would love to be able to give my family.  Have any favorite recipes you'd like to share?

  Speaking of sharing, this week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are sharing Valentine's Day projects for Fabulous Friday.  I created a simple card and matching candy favor using the new Rose Coral Chalk ink pad from the Occasions catalog (I love that I got to preorder this!) along with the Groovy Love stamp set and coordinating sweetheart punch.

  I love black and white projects with a pop of color - and pink is just the right pop for a Valentine's Day project, don't you think?! 

  The basic black card stock background features stenciling with the chalk ink pad - it didn't photograph too well, but I think you can see the hearts from the Hearts & Stars decorative masks.  I just sponged using the chalk ink - it shows up on dark card stock!!  This clean and simple card came together so quickly and the whisper white organza ribbon just adds such a nice touch.

  For those of you who regularly read my blog, you know how much I love 2-4-6-8 boxes (see instructions on this post HERE)!  They are super easy to make and are just so darn cute... fill them with some Hershey Kisses and you're good to go.
