Happy Friday and thanks for visiting! This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring the single stamps in both the Occasions and Annual catalogs today for Fabulous Friday because they ARE fabulous! My design is a black and white card with a pop of color (remember this card from last week?) because I just love this color combination. The single stamp I chose to feature is the new Love is Kindness stamp set from the Occasions catalog. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers because it means Spring is here... my favorite time of the year!
I colored my image using some of the new Blendabilities colors in the Occasions catalog, too... pink pirouette and wild wasabi. If you haven't had a chance to work with these yet, you will definitely want to try them out! Stampin' Up! takes all the guess work out, too, by giving you three coordinating shades in each pack. Want to try a set for FREE? You can earn a set as a Sale-a-Bration selection with your qualifying $50 purchase now through March 31st!!
And since I am not a huge fan of coloring, do you know what the thing I love most about Blendabilities is? You can color more than just card stock - I really love coloring my pearls and rhinestones!! For this card I colored both the edges of the whisper white organza ribbon and the hearts on the Stacked with Love DSP piece with my darkest pink pirouette Blendabilities marker. Don't you love how it turned out?! It really showcases the tiny hearts in the paper and makes my whisper white organza ribbon so versatile!!
I got the idea for my card this week from the one below that I designed for a mail-in swap that I participated in earlier. And how cool is it that just by changing the colors of the tulips the feel of the card complete changes.
And just like in my Fabulous Friday card above, I colored the edges of the organza ribbon with the darkest pumpkin pie Blendabilities marker.
If you'd like to host a workshop and try out the Blendabilities markers on a card like one of these, contact me to schedule your date!! Or you can join my club (details here) and make a card using them.
Thanks for checking out my Fabulous Friday project this week... for even more inspiration be sure to hop over to the Sisters in Stamping blog later this afternoon to see what Karla and Rachel designed with the single stamps this week. Have a fabulous weekend and happy stamping!!
