New Catalog Kick-Off Open House make-n-takes

  I held my New Catalog Kick-off Open House last night and earlier this morning and wanted to share the two make-n-takes with you... they were both easy and fun and showcased some of our great new products!

Video: Quick & Easy World of Dreams dimensional flower card

My Fabulous Friday fun color combo butterfly thank you card

  Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by today!  This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are designing our projects for Fabulous Friday using the color combination of daffodil delight, melon mambo, tempting turquoise and whisper white.  Rachel came up with these colors (all from the Brights collection) and I really love them together!

  I decided to make a card this week and try out my new Lovely Lace textured impressions embossing folder that I just got.  This is a very clean and simple layout so that the texture is the main focus of the card.  I was able to accomplish that by sponging tempting turquoise ink lightly over the whole piece after I embossed it with my Big Shot.  I have to say that I am loving this folder!

  The "thank you" sentiment is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set - I think the script font is so beautiful.  I purposely stamped it to the right on the whisper white panel so there would be room to place a beautiful butterfly in the upper left-hand corner.  This butterfly image is from the Polka-Dot Pieces stamp set and coordinates perfectly with the Elegant Butterfly punch (no cutting!).  I finished the card by adding some rhinestone bling - both to the butterfly's body and on several of the flowers on the background piece.

Quick & Easy World of Dreams card

   Are you ready for another quick and easy card?  This week I created an all-occasion card that would be perfect for a new graduate, newly  married couple or someone making a big life-change.

 

  I grabbed my go-to whisper white note card and envelope set and flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack to make this thank you card featuring the World of Dreams stamp set.  My newsletter subscribers will get a link to step-by-step instructions on Thursday and I will post a video showing how easily this card comes together.

Video: Quick & Easy Wish Big Flower Frenzy card

   Better late than never, right?!  Here is this week's Quick & Easy card - it is a birthday card I made to go along with my Fabulous Friday gift bag that I shared earlier.  I really love the new Flower Frenzy Bigz L die for my Big Shot!  I had meant to get this card done in time to submit it for the challenge over on the Clean and Simplbe blog because I loved the Fall-To-Layout sketch #294 from last week, but alas life got in the way.  That's okay, because I still love how my card turned out!

Fabulous Flower Frenzy gift bag and card set

 

  Happy Friday the 13th!  This week over on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are featuring 3D projects.  I decided to play with my brand new Flower Frenzy Bigz L die that arrived in my first order yesterday... love it!!  There is nothing better than being able to give a gift that is wrapped up in such a fun way and has a matching card... even a simple bag of chocolates would be welcome if presented like this!!

  I used my Big Shot to add lots of texture to the various flower pieces on the bag and card.  I have a whole other blog post about the card (it is my Quick & Easy card for this week with a video showing you how I put it together) so I won't go into detail about it here.

  Here is another shot of the flower and a close-up of the banner.  I inked the birthday sentiment from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set with coastal cabana ink.

A stack of thank you cards

  I am a little off-track this week as this past Monday was my kids' last day of school and we are all adjusting to our crazy summer schedule of early morning swim practices, Monday night swim meets and doctor and dentist appointments this week, etc.  Can you relate?  I plan on getting my Quick & Easy card for this week posted (hopefully) tomorrow along with a video so please be sure to check back and thanks for your patience and understanding!!

  For today's post I wanted to share this stack of thank you cards that I have been working on for my customer orders and just to have on hand... I used the same technique to create my backgrounds as I shared with you last week for my Quick & Easy card.  The larger cards are 4" x 4" and will fit in a regular A-2 envelope if I need to mail them (at no extra charge!) and the smaller ones are 3" x 3" cards.  These were easily cut from 12" x 12" card stock and I used lots of scraps for the punches.    

  Here are some close-ups of the sentiments... I had fun mixing and matching different punches to create these embellisments.  The "thank you" sentiments are from the Lots of Thanks stamp set... lots of great ways to say thank you in this stamp set!
