I had the privlege of spending an afternoon with the Lovely Ladies of The Williams Home earlier this week making card stock roses for their Spring Tea. We have made fabric flowes in the past (see those posts here and here) and I thought it would be fun to try them with card stock this year as I have been pinning some gorgeous samples on my Paper Flowers Pinterest board.
I used the Spiral Flower Originals die with my Big Shot and cut out 30 flower forms and created kits with additional flower layers and leaves using the Fancy Flower punch (better get it fast - it's on the retiring product list!) and Scallop Oval punch. I also used my Fringe scissors for the centers. We got them all assembled in under an hour and now these will adorn the Ladies' name tags at their Spring Tea.
I wanted to share some photos of these wonderful Ladies... I so enjoy my time with them!!
And a close-up of a finished rose - we added pinbacks to them so they could be attached easily to their name tags.
Thanks for letting me share my class with you! If you have a senior center in your area and are looking for an opportunityo share your crafting ideas, it really is so fulfilling and I highly recommend you give it a try!
